Common Questions about Vacation Rental Homes

Question - When do I pay the deposit and final payment?

Answer - The initial 10% deposit is due at the time of booking. This deposit will hold the reservation. Final payment of all rentals, options, and taxes are due 30 days prior to the arrival date. A full set of Gulf Villa Rentals Terms and Conditions can be found here.

 

Question - Do Gulf Villa Rentals own the vacation homes?

Answer - No Gulf Villa Rentals are the management company for individual property owners. 

 

Question - With so many scams nowadays, how can I be sure my money is safe or if the vacation home I book actually exists?

Answer - Gulf Villa Rentals have been in business since 2003 and have established a stellar reputation of offering quality accommodation and unrivaled customer care. We are also affiliated with the following trade and industry associations.

For your protection, rental fees are held in an escrow account and only made available to the property owner once you have arrived at the property.

 

Question - How do I pick up keys?

Answer - Once the final balance has been paid we will send directions to our office. Upon arrival at our office we will ask you to register and you will be provided with directions and keys to your vacation home.

 

Question - What happens if I arrive after office hours or the office is closed?

Answer - We are very experienced with guests arriving late at night or outside of office hours. For your convenience we have a secure lock box outside our office. Details of how to access this lock box will be provided once your balance has been paid.

 

Question - What amenities can I expect in the vacation home?

Answer -  All of our homes are very well equipped and luxuriously furnished. As indicated in the property descriptions some vacation homes include additional equipment such as pool tables, additional TVs and I-Pod decks. Sometimes it's the "luck of the draw"

 

Question - What do I need to bring with me to my vacation home?

Answer - At the very minimum your vacation home will be equipped with the following.

  • Bed linens and pillows
  • Bathroom towels and beach towels
  • Private and optionally heated pool on pool homes
  • Cable or satellite TV
  • TV in Lounge and Master Bedroom
  • Washer/Dryer
  • Garage and/or off road parking
  • 1 Roll of toilet paper in each bathroom and starter trash bags
  • Fully equipped kitchen including: Stove/Range, Fridge/Freezer, Dishwasher, Microwave, Toaster, Blender, Electric Kettle, Coffee Maker, Iron and Board, Vacuum, and Mop/Bucket/Broom

 

Question - Is there a phone at the vacation home?

Answer - All of our homes have phones. At a minimum the service provides free emergency and local dialing, however dependent on the property owners arrangement some vacation homes may also include long distance.

 

Question - Is there Internet access?

Answer - Complimentary high speed WIFI access is provided in all of our vacation homes. 

 

Question - Do you offer Maid Service?

Answer - All of our vacation homes are thoroughly cleaned upon the previous guests departure. If you would like to arrange for mid stay cleans throughout your vacation we can arrange this for an additional fee. Arrangements can be made in advance or at any time during your stay.

 

Question - What if something needs repairing during our stay?

Answer - All of our vacation homes are maintained to a very high standard. We take great pride in our proactive approach to maintenance and this attitude reduces the likelihood of maintenance issues occurring during your stay. That said, issues do occasionally occur and for your peace of mind our maintenance staff are available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year to deal with any eventuality.

 

Question - Is the pool water cold in the winter?

Answer - It depends on the weather and your personal preference. We offer pool heat at $25 per night and it is recommended from November through April. NOTE: Pool heater may not work if temperature drops below a certain temperature and we encourage all guests to use the pool blankets provided at each home.
